
In recent years, the Mexican government, in order to spur investment, has made it incredibly easy, reliable, and affordable for non-Mexicans to buy property.
As a result, thousands of non-Mexicans are jumping at the opportunity to get their piece of paradise. Working through a Mexican trust, or fideicomiso, foreign buyers are entitled to all the advantages and securities of ownership, including the right to sell their property to a Mexican or non-Mexican and the ability to pass the property rights on to their heirs in perpetuity. Affordable title insurance is available as well.
A permit to establish a trust can be obtained for a period of 50 years and then renewed as needed.
